#LacunaCon2019: Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about #LacunaCon2019? We’ve got the rundown for you right here!

Q: Who can attend the event?

A: EVERYONE is welcome to attend. The event will be staffed and GMed by women and LGBTQIA+ gamers, but it’s open to the public.

Q: But are men welcome to come?

A: We’re inclusive when it comes to people wanting to roll some dice and have some fun while they’re at it! The event is open to the public and welcomes all, provided that they adhere to our Code of Conduct.

Q: Is the event kid-friendly?

A: Some of our games may contain sensitive content or have storylines that aren’t exactly kid-friendly. Make sure to check the games out carefully. Feel free to ask any of the organizers or our volunteers for more details – we’ll definitely try to find you a game that is suitable for your children.

Q: How do we sign up for games? Is there an entrance fee?

A: Registration will open on May 27, noon. Yes, there is an entrance fee:

  • Early Bird: 350php
  • Walk-in on the day itself: 400php

*Student and PWD discount of 20% is applicable to base rate: pre-reg fee becomes 280php, walk-in 320php. If you’re pre-registering, please send us a scan of your ID along with your deposit slip/payment so that we’re aware. If you’re coming around on the day itself, please present your ID to us.

Please stay tuned to our Facebook event page for additional details.

Q: What is included in the event ticket?

A: Entry to the event, loot bag (for the first 25 pre-registrants and earliest attendees), raffle tickets, games, workshops, talks, etcetera.

Q: Are walk-in participants allowed?

A: Yes, definitely! However, the loot bag is only available to the first 25 pre-registered participants. Extra loot bags will be distributed to the walk-in participants who will arrive the earliest.

Q: Can we bring food to the event?

A: Yes, you can! There are also places that you can order from; just have the delivery guy head up to the event venue and be on the lookout for them. We do request, however, that attendees observe CLAYGO (Clean As You Go). If you’re looking for hot food, there are food places across the street and in the general area that you can go to as well.

Q: Can I register for my group?

A: Please have them register individually in the player registration form when it goes live. We need to keep track of who receives a loot bag or not and we need their contact details in case there are changes to the event.

You can, however, pay for your group and send us only one deposit slip, just send us the names of all participants being paid for.

Q: How do I commute to the venue?

Lumiere Residences is located at Shaw Blvd corner Pasig Blvd, Barangay Bagong Ilog, Pasig City. It is down the road on Shaw Blvd on the same side of EDSA as Shangrila Plaza and Capitol Common/Estancia, and is accessible from both C5 and EDSA.

The easiest way to commute there would be to get off Shaw Blvd MRT Station and take a jeepney going to Pasig Palengke. Get off in front of Lumiere and cross the street. The Lumiere Sky Lounge is on the roofdeck of East Tower.

Q: Will there be parking in the event venue?

A: Lumiere has available public parking. The normal rates are 50php for the first three hours, and then 20php for each succeeding hour.

Q: I want to post all about the event – do you have hashtags that we can use?

A: Yes, we do! Just make sure to be sensitive about our policy on taking photographs. Barring that, feel free to use #LacunaCon2019 #Dauntless #WomeninTabletop #PrideinGaming #RPGSea #PlayWithoutApology #GamersandGMs

Q: I have concerns regarding accessibility and safety on my end. May I know who to talk to?

Please feel free to message our Page, or contact any of the organizing team directly. We take concerns of safety and accessibility seriously. You can also read our official statement on safe spaces here.
